I recommend to make a backup of data files and migrate the current HDD to a new one. So, I wrote: My conclusion at this time is that it would be better to replace the current HDD with a new HDD, since bad sectors will increase while using your computer and finally you will unable to read your important data files. If Physical bad sector(s)Īre in your HDD, it would be difficult or impossible to recover them. You wrote " I tries several times with Easeus but it always failed the Surface Test." I guess that failing the surface test indicates Physical bad sector, instead of Logical. Please refer to the article about the two kinds of bad sector: Bad Sectors Explained: Why Hard Drives Get Bad Sectors and What You In advance, sorry I should have mentioned two kinds of bad sector: Logical and Physical. (self made) motherboard: (ASRock) H77 Pro4/MVPīut SeaTools for DOS could not find any drives. (Lenovo) ThinkPad X1-Carbon (2) One desktop computer could boot from the USB drive and I could see this screen. In BIOS settings, both Legacy mode and EUFI won't work. and I tested and found: (1) Two laptop computers could not boot from the USB drive. Or (B) your computer cannot boot from the USB drive installed SeaTools for DOS. If this is correct, please refer to the following article: How To Create Bootable USB Disk For Seagate SeaTools For DOS According to you description, I suppose, (A) the USB drive could not be created as a bootable device.
